It’s hard to express the sadness the Destinations Team feels at the passing of our friend and business mentor, Robert Dale Obray, President of Associated Food Stores.
Bob was passionate about travel and loved connecting with AFS Retailers on their yearly incentive trips. We loved working with Bob because he loved planning their trips with the best, most memorable guest experience in mind. Beyond that, Bob took a personal interest in Destinations with constant advice and feedback on how we could improve our services.
We have had countless travel experiences with Bob, spanning over 2 decades. In 2017, we had the privilege of hosting Bob and his wife, Jen, in Scotland on one of our familiarization trips. We made countless memories on golf courses, in castles, and over glens. We will cherish these memories, and we send our deepest, heartfelt condolences to his wife of nearly 34 years and his children and grandchildren.
Rest in Peace, Bob. We will meet again.
